Malcolm H. Hirschfield (Managing Director)
Malcolm is responsible for land and investment acquisitions and overall supervision of all construction works. Prior to re-joining the Group in 1996 as the Managing Director, Malcolm was one of the pioneers in the serviced office sector throughout UK and involved in the expansion of the Premier House Group with Friendly Hotels Plc.
Graham A. Hirschfield LLB (Director and Secretary)
Graham is the longest serving Director having been appointed to the Board in 1972. In addition to his strategic guidance of the Company through four decades, various property booms and recessions, Graham is responsible for all property legal and company secretarial issues. Due to the nature of the core business of residential property lettings, Graham's Landlord and Tenant legal expertise are fundamental to the Company's day to day operations. Graham trained as a solicitor at Titmuss Sainer & Webb (now leading USA law firm known as Decherts LLP) and is a senior consultant to Bowling & Co.
Mark S. Hirschfield LLB (Director)
Mark was appointed to the Board in November 2007 to oversee all corporate finance, IT and business development matters. Since studying his law degree at The University of Birmingham, Mark has been instrumental in building up the Company's popular portfolio of purpose built student accommodation. Mark is a qualified corporate lawyer with 6 years experience practising law at leading law firms Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP (where he trained) and Mishcon de Reya (where he currently is a Business Consultant). Mark has a wide range of other directorships in the internet and retail sectors.
Norman P. Roberts LLB (Director)
Norman was appointed to the Board in April 1977 to assist initially in the restructuring and management of the Group of Companies and subsequently with the implementation of a continuous program of modernisation and improvement of the Companies' residential Portfolio, in addition to day to day management. Norman is a qualified Solicitor, who trained in Birmingham, specialising in property law. He ran his own practices for 35 years, his firm merging with Needham & James in 2003, where he joined as a Partner and is now a Consultant.
Mike Spittle (Non Executive Director)
Mike was appointed to the Board in March 2008 to provide strategic advice to the Company as a director of the ultimate holding company. Mike is also a director of Investec Trust (Jersey) Limited.
Management Team
Jacqui Martin (Financial Controller)
Jacqui joined the Company in 1998 and as the Financial Controller is responsible for the financial management and reporting of the portfolio and overseeing all lettings activities. Jacqui plays a key role in ensuring that rents are collected promptly, rent arrears are regularly monitored and financial reports are provided to the Board for their weekly board meetings.
Terry Dayman (Property Manager)
Terry joined the Company in 1982 and as the Property Manager is responsible for a well trained maintenance team of tradesmen. Terry is responsible for the day to day lettings and maintenance of the portfolio. He deals with day to day relationship with development contracts and sales agents. Over the years Terry has been instrumental in sourcing new development opportunities for the Company.
Josie Carroll (Accounts Administrator)
Josie joined the Company in 1986 and as the accounts administrator is key to ensuring that all internal management accounts are kept in order.
Sandra Dayman (Lettings Administrator)
Sandra joined the Company in 1997 and as the Lettings Administrator is key to ensuring that all the properties within the portfolio are let so that voids are kept to a minimum.
Maintenance Team
Under the guidance, supervision and training of our experienced Property Manager (Terry Dayman), we are able to service and fully maintain our property portfolio in-house without substantial requirements to outsource to third party contractors. Our fully integrated management team ensures that we can efficiently meet the requirements of the modern day tenants in such a competitive residential lettings sector.
